The Atrac M4 spreader is nearing completion with the recent fitment of a 7000 litre Southern Spreaders full stainless-steel bin.
The Atrac M4 cab chassis is derived from the Goldacres G4 self-propelled model which forms the basis for a very versatile platform.
This machine can be used for a wide range of accessories including spreader bodies or any other application that requires a high capacity, high clearance versatile tractor built to carry a load.
The full hydraulic bin features variable isobus rate control, actuated door from the tractor cabin, and access ladder from the cabin platform.
The AFSA accredited machine with spread urea to 36 metres, single superphosphate to 50m and lime to 18m.
Optional accessories include a twin conveyor for headland and sectional control, load cells with dynamic rate calibration and a roll top tarp.
Built on a torsionally rigid semi truss fully welded chassis with five link suspension and heavy-duty torque rods, rear anti-sway bar and airbag suspension on all for corners provide a stable, yet smooth ride.
Combine this with a full mechanical driveline to give uncompromising power, reliability and tractability to the ground.
The Atrac M4 has 1400mm clearance, comes with a choice of two or three tracks anbd a choice of two or four wheel drive.
"Drive is via a Cummins Tier 3 QSB 4.5L engine," a company spokesman said.
"This four cylinder engine is rated to 119kw (160hp) and 622N.m (459 lb-ft) which is compact yet powerful.
"An Allison 2500 series five speed transmission is fitted with overdrive to reduces engine RPM whilst still maintaining a 50 km/hr transport speed.
"Lock up clutches improve performance whilst dramatically reducing heat build-up and fuel usage.
"To keep everything cool, a large vertically stacked cooling system covers fuel, transmission, water jacket, charge air and the air conditioning systems while an over the Radiator (OTR) air cleaner system with twin stage filtration provides cool clean air to the engine.
"In boggy conditions, a rear air lock differential is fitted with inboard disc brakes.
"The optional mechanical 4WD system ensures this machine will go anywhere you point it.
"The 4WD system utilises a single speed transfer case with front axle disconnect, allowing the sprayer to be used as a 2WD, helping to reduce fuel usage.
"At the flick of a switch, the front axle can be engaged, providing an equal power split between front and rear axles.
"If the going gets really tough, then the rear differential lock feature can also be engaged."
