For Cassie and Joseph Dorrstein it was a 'typical love at first sight'.
They first met when Joe was working at an auction house in Tamworth three years ago where Cassie and her mum Kelly Swain would go to buy items for their home.
"Joe always looked at me and smiled as well as looking away whenever I looked at him. I eventually got sick of him looking at me and not even talking to me, so I talked to him and with much persuasion he asked me to go to his place for dinner," Cassie said.
From there they connected and were engaged within the year's end. A year later they were wed on her family's property on the top of Moonbi Hills just outside of Tamworth on Christmas eve where they now live.
The bridal party consisted of bridesmaids Mayah Bourke-Tindal and Bonnie Hayne while the groomsmen were Ryan Chester and Cody Grimston.
Parents of the bride are Kelly and Stephen Swain of Moonbi while parents of groom are Gillian Dorrstein of Tamworth and the late Ian Dorrstein.
