Attendance was strong and catalogues in hot demand, at the Glenwarrah Hereford and Brooksby Angus annual bull sale on Wednesday.
With 60 registered bidders in attendance averages were pushed to a result the stud hasn't seen for a very long time.
The Herefords were up first with a dual top price of $13,000, average of $7390 and 23 of 26 bulls sold for a clearance of 88 per cent.
Another bull was sold after the sale to update the average to $7250 and the clearance to 92 pc.
The first Hereford to reach the $13,000 top was Glenwarrah Mumbai P204 a horned son of Glenwarrah Mumbai M029, he was purchased by Puddledock Pastoral, Scone.
Puddledock are repeat purchasers who also bought the bulk of the Herefords taking home four bulls in total for an average of $10,000.
The second Hereford to reach the $13,000 top was Glenwarrah Mumbai P232 another horned son of Glenwarrah Mumbai M029, he was purchased by Curracabark Herefords, Gloucester.
Brooksby Angus sold to a top of $13,000 ,average of $6650 and 39 of 41 bulls sold for a clearance of 95 pc.
Another bull was sold after the sale to update the average to $6588 and the clearance to 98 pc.
The top price Angus was the 23-month-old, Talis Kennard K406 son, Brooksby Kennard P328, selling for $13,000 to Allan Ball, Uralla.
Stud principals Stephen and David Collins were very pleased with the results of the sale with consistent and strong averages.
Sale was conducted by Nutrien Ag Solutions and Armitage and Buckley with Joel Fleming and Tom Piddington as auctioneer.
