Kunuma Angus, Cooma sold all 19 bulls offered for a top-price of $15,000 and average of $6850, both new records for the stud.
Snow was falling in the lead up to the sale, but the weather put on a show on Friday, with clear skies greeting bidders who had travelled to the highest Angus stud in Australia.
Stud co-principal Mitch Lynch said they were over-the-moon with the results.
"It was probably the best sale we've ever had, we're really happy," Mr Lynch said.
"We've been hard on the bulls in the last few years and I think people are starting to see that now with their temperament and doability."
The top-priced bull, Kunuma Paul P19, sold for $15,000 to Jackson Pastoral, Cooma.
The rising two-year-old was sired by Kunuma Mitch M22 and out of Kunuma E1.
"He's a structurally sound bull, deep-bodied and quiet, I think he'll be a really good bull for someone to start their herd with," Mr Lynch said.
He had a calving ease direct of +6.3, birth weight of +4.1, eye muscle area of +7.5 and intramuscular fat value of +2.7.
The next top price of the day was $10,500, paid for Kunuma Playboy P51 by longtime clients, Elm Valley of Leongatha, Victoria.
He was one of four bulls they purchased on the day via AuctionsPlus.
Kunuma Playboy P51 was sired by Te Mania Emperor E343 and out of Kunuma H163.
Mr Lynch said he was used on some of their own heifers last year.
"He was just a real stand out bull as a 12-month old," he said.
Boraig Pty Ltd, Talbingo were another volume buyer, managing to come away with three bulls.
Mr Lynch said it was great to see good local support, with the season's outlook improving after some much-needed rain. While, many of their usual Victorian buyers were active on AuctionsPlus.
Kunuma Angus will hold a second sale with another 20 bulls in Sale, Vic later this month.
The Helmsman auction was interfaced with AuctionsPlus and settled by Nutrien Cooma.
