BRUNDANELLA Merino and Poll Merino stud reached a $10,000 top and $2086 average during their on-property ram sale today at Victoria Park, Grenfell.
Overall Ian and Janet Griffith sold 67 rams of the 70 on offer, resulting in a 98 per cent clearance.
Brundanella 19-0008 was the $10,000 top-priced ram that is destined for stud duties after he was purchased by Adrian O'Keeffe of Bungoona Merinos, Molong.
Sired by Kamara Netley Park 610, he weighed 110.4 kilograms with a micron of 19.8, and measured 3.6 standard deviation, 99pc comfort factor, 39.5 millimetres eye muscle depth, 5mm fat and had a breech wrinkle score of 3.
The second top-priced ram made $5250, selling to repeat clients John and Tanya Taylor at Monteagle, who put together a draft of eight rams.
The largest volume buyer was Barker Trading, Coorora, Grenfell, who purchased 14 rams.
Other major purchasers included; Springfield Pty Ltd, Grenfell, who bought eight rams, and Iandra Pastoral Estate, Greenethorpe, RB and JA Crawford, Windouran, Moulamein, and Cooyong Pastoral, Manildra, who each purchased five rams.
The sale was conducted by Nutrien Ag Solutions with Rick Power and Tim Woodham sharing auctioneer duties.
