Deni Ute Muster plans big 2021 line up to wash away memories of 2020

Due to lockdowns and uncertainty about gathering, tickets for the 2021 event are only just going on sale from midday after being suspended earlier this year.

It comes as NSW restrictions eased to allow up to 5000 people to attend outdoor events that are fenced, ticketed and seated.

About 20,000 people attended the 2019 event.

Next year's muster will be entirely cashless and will feature artists including John Williamson, The Angels, Busby Marou, Troy Cassar-Daley, Shannon Noll, The McClymonts, McAlister Kemp, Sara Storer, Shane Nicholson, Felicity Urquhart, Hurricane Fall and Darlinghurst.

Tickets purchased for the 2020 event are valid for the 2021 event on October 1 and 2.

Deni Ute Muster general manager Vicky Lowry said it was great to come back after having to celebrate the 22^nd event virtually.

"It is exciting to see the live music industry making a comeback," she said.

"The Deni Ute Muster are proud to be supporting Australian artists for 2021."

Ms Lowry said the event would be guided by advice and recommendations received by the government.

She said health and safety would be their number one priority.

"Thank you for your support over the last 12 months, we hope to see you in 2021," she said.

NSW Tourism Minister Stuart Ayres encouraged residents to get behind the 2021 event.

"The Deni Ute Muster is one of Australia's premier rural events, so to have it back on the NSW events calendar is fantastic news for the Deniliquin community," Mr Ayres said.

"We know that regional events like these provide great entertainment, while creating jobs and injecting significant dollars into our state's economy."

The muster is thought to contribute $1 million directly to the Deniliquin economy through organiser's use of businesses and contractors while $6 million is estimated to be spent in the region by festival goers annually.
