COWS with calves sold to a top of $3670 during the Central Tablelands Livestock Exchange, Carcoar, store cattle sale last Friday.
The store sale was the last for the year at CTLX and attracted a number of quality lines of cattle, plus pens of variable quality.
The supply was also up on the November sale with 1500 head offered to strong buyer competition.
Prices were generally $80 to $100 a head dearer, according to figures from the National Livestock Reporting Service.

About 200 weaner steers were offered and those less than 280 kilograms sold from $1245 to $1530 a head.
In cents a kilogram, the results were impressive, with one pen of three very light steers hitting 924 cents a kilogram (liveweight).
Weaner steers from 280kg to 330kg sold from $1300 to $1580, while those heavier ranged from $1510 to $1675.
It was not uncommon for those heavier weaner steers to be selling for in excess of 450c/kg.
Weaner heifers were in demand and with 210 head offered, it was the heavier pens that attracted plenty of buyer attention.
Light weaner heifers up to 280kg sold from $600 to $1410, while those from 280kg to 330kg were knocked down for $1360 to $1585.
Angus and black baldy weaner heifers tipping the scales at more than 330kg sold from $1510 to $1650.
About 100 yearling steers sold from $1625 to $1885 and most weighed 330kg to 400kg.
The yearling heifer section attracted 370 head.
Light yearling heifers sold from $1055 to $1365, while those from 330kg to 400kg attracted bids from $1500 to $1730.
A few pens of pregnancy-tested-in-calf heifers ranged from $2000 to $3000 and the heavier PTIC cows sold from $2300 to $2880.
Cows with calves were well supplied, with 412 units up for grabs.
The cows with calves less than two months sold from $2600 to $3670, while the units with calves two to four months ranged from $2350 to $3500.
WDP Pastoral Company, Bigga, sold a feature line of Angus steers, July/August 2019 drop, Lawson blood, weighing 497kg, for $1950.
The same vendor also sold same description 469kg heifers for $1640.
Grassmere Station near Mitchell, Qld, sold several pens of eight- to 12-month-old steers. The top pen tipped the scales at 293kg and made $1555. These were by Te Mania, Landfall and Hazeldean bulls. Similar description heifers from Grassmere Station sold to a top of $1420 for 271kg females.
B Johnston, Bathurst, sold eight unjoined Angus cows with calves for $2600, while Glengowan Angus, Newbridge, sold 17 Angus cows with calves for $2575.
D McLeod and L Grace sold 10 three- to five-year-old Angus cows with calves for $3275.
