Prices are expected to rise to impressive heights again this sale, with yesterday's smaller yarding of 1344 coloured cattle resulting in Charolais-cross weaner steers being knocked down for $1980. Cents a kilogram values rivaled those recorded at the Angus sale on Tuesday.
It is the final weaner sale of the week after a selling bonanza across four sales in as many days, a new look format squeezing all the Wodonga weaner sales into the one week this year.
Lines on offer today will include 100 Hereford steers, 10 to 11-months-old from DH and MA Trethowan, Wentworth, Cookardinia.
Other large runs include 110 Hereford steers, nine to 10 months, from Brooklyn Pastoral, Mansfield.
Euro steers will include 83 Charolais from Mirrabooka Farms, Berringama and 50 Hereford/Shorthorn steers from Arworthal Pty Ltd, Jamieson, Vic.
The heifer section will include 65 Angus/Simmentals, 15-months from HB Shipard and Company, Albury.
The sale will start at 9am.
In line with government recommendations relating to COVID-19, access to Northern Victoria Livestock Exchange is restricted to NVLX staff, agents, genuine buyers, vendors with livestock in the sale, transporters and media reporters.
NVLX has recommended children do not attend sales, however, if this is not possible, no children are permitted in the selling area to allow buyers free access to pens.
