While holiday festivities took over and Australia's three physical wool auction selling centres had their annual recess, the AuctionsPlus wool offer board remained in operation.
Almost 900 bales were sold on the online platform from December 18 to this week.
Of the online offering, 15-micron wool sold to a top of 1765 cents a kilogram (greasy), or 2507c/kg (clean), and 16-micron wool sold to a top of 1656c/kg (greasy), or 2231c/kg (clean).
The top priced lot online for the period was 14-micron Australian Superfine fleece AAAFINE wool, which sold for 1925c/kg (greasy), or 2659c/kg (clean).
This line was offered by the Australian Wool Network and had a vegetable matter of 0.5 per cent, was 69 millimetres in staple length and was branded Glen Stuart.
With the return of physical wool auctions across the nation this week, there are an estimated 54,978 bales to be put under the hammer.
