For their 19th annual sale, Geoff and Heather Bush, Kirraweena Glenholme Hereford and Poll Hereford studs, Cootamundra offered 19 bulls and 26 unjointed heifers for sale on Wednesday.

Top price in the offering of bulls at $8000 was paid three times while the top price for heifers was $2750 paid for two Poll Herefords.
Graeme and Jean Hall, Scottsdale, Tasmania purchased two bulls for $8000 apeice while Mike Archer, Finley also paid $8000 for his choice of the draft.
Mr and Mrs Hall have purchased bulls from the Kirraweena Glenholme studs before and they are impressed by the easy doing of the cattle according to Tim Woodham, Nutrien Ag Solutions, Wagga Wagga who made the purchase.
"They are bullock producers and liked the substance and shape of the bulls bought today," he said.
"Finishing bullocks on grass is their business and the progeny of the Kirraweena Glenholme bulls have performed for them."
Their purchase Glenholme Quartermaster was an 18-month-old horned son of Bowmont Winchester and ranked in the top 10 per cent for breed Retail Beef Yield.
Other breed EBVs included +6.1 birthweight, +18 milk, +3.1 eye muscle area and - 0.7 rib.
Top price in the heifer offering was $2750 paid by Graham and Felicity Reeves, Reevesdale Poll Herefords, Inverell for Glenholme Pearl and Glenholme Garland, Homoygous Poll each by Doodle Cooma Magnate.
Mrs Reeves said they were first time buyers and have been travelling to different studs looking for suitable stock to add to their genetic base.
"We liked these heifers for their great cosmetic markings with a dark and soft skin," she said.
"It relates to easy doing cattle with great carcase and meat eating traits."
Mrs Reeves said the bloodline is a new one for them so we thought it was a great opportunity to add a genetic outcross.
The sale was settled by Holman Tolmie Pty Ltd, Cootamundra who along with Nutrien Ag Solutions were the selling agents.
The sale was interfaced with Auctions Plus, with Steve Tolmie selling the heifers and Peter Godbolt, Nutrien Ag Solutions was the auctioneer during the bull sale.
