After wet weather in 2019 and Covid-19 in 2020 prevented the annual Tullibigeal Picnic Races from going ahead the dedicated committee from the small farming village in the Central West of NSW were overjoyed with the picture perfect weather and the fantastic crowd of racegoers who attended this year's meeting.
On the track the day belong to Dubbo trainer Connie Greig and Jockey Leandro Ribeiro, a partnership which saw them win three of the six races as well as place second and third in another two.
The highlight being Malibu Stacy's win in the 2021 Dunk Insurance, Frampton Flat Feedlot & O'Connors Case IH Tullibigeal Picnic Cup over 1600m.
Off the track it was a real family day out with glitter art, laser tag and a jumping castle for the kids as well as live music, footraces and ice cream for both the young and the young at heart.
In the fashion stakes the Golding's from Lake Cargelligo had to be the most fashionable family on course, with dad Luke named the best dressed gent while Beau, Belle and Brooklyn were this year's best dressed junior racegoers. Jackie Murray from Temora and Amy Aubrey from Lake Cargelligo were the judges pick for the most elegant and the most stylish lady respectively with Kristie Hickson and Oscar Freeman from West Wyalong awarded the title of best dressed couple.
