Dedicated Glen Innes Show exhibitor Allegra Pinferi, aged 9, has now added Sydney Royal Easter Show success to her impressive list of success and ribbon haul in her first foray in the prestigious fine arts and crafts competition in 2021.
In an even more impressive result Allegra won a ribbon in each of her four entries (sewing, knitting, creative item and handmade bag) in the under 14 junior section with a first, two seconds and a third.
Competing with the state's and country's most accomplished young artisans Ms Pinferi proved yet again that dedication and commitment is a winning formula.
The impressive results are first, too, on another level for the Glen Innes Show "The Royal of the North".
This is the very first time a junior exhibitor from the Glen Innes show or even the region has entered the highly competitive Easter Show Fine Arts competition which attracts around 4500 entries from art to handicrafts sculpture.
Glen Innes baking and handicraft chief steward, Sydney Royal fine arts committee member and Steward Mrs Mary Hollingworth was at the judging and said the result was incredibly exciting and testament to Ms Pinferi's dedication to all her show exhibits.
Allegra has been exhibiting at the Glen Innes Show for the past 7 years and for the past three years has been the junior Most successful exhibitor in the baking and the winner of the prestigious Valmaie Burey memorial Awards.
At the 2021 Glen Innes Show Allegra participated in the Pony Club Musical ride, volunteered with the Committee room lunches, competed in the Glen Innes Pony Club competitions, the pet show and animal nursery, won a ribbon with her pet rooster along with almost a rug worth of ribbons in the baking.
When asked about her latest success Ms Pinferi said: "Exhibiting in the cooking and handicrafts has taught me to follow my dreams and to look up to people around me.
"I have lots of things I love to do and all the people around me help me do it. Since I was very young, I have always wanted to have mote time to exhibit and show people what my talents really are.
"My grandparents on both sides have taught me how to knit and sew so I have kept going and now I am exhibiting my items. When mummy was little she used to show cattle at the Sydney Show and I have always wanted to be like my grandparents Christine and David Dance and exhibit things in the Sydney Royal."
