The Southern Highland's Gumnut Patisserie has won the 14th annual President's Medal presented by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW.

The iconic patisserie run by Tracy and Vicki Nickl, with stores in Bowral, Mittagong and Berrima, was awarded the medal by Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales at Government House on Wednesday evening.
The first time President's Medal finalists were awarded Champion Cake, Champion Pastry and Best Professional Bakery Apprentice/Student Exhibit at the 2019 Sydney Royal Fine Food Show.
The President's Medal recognises producers' overall financial, social and environmental integrity through the entire production cycle from gate to plate.
There were six finalists acknowledged on the night, including Gold Coast Marine Aquaculture, Gold Coast, Qld, Heathcote Estate, Heathcote, Vic, Julianne's Kitchen, Hornsby, Shottesbrooke Wines, McLaren Vale, SA and Yumbah Aquaculture, Wingfield, SA.
