LATE-weaned Angus steers, 12 to 14 months, topped last Friday's Binnaway store cattle sale at $1745 a head in a 440 head yarding.
The 15 from Kilkarney Partnership, Coolah, sold at $1745 to Stewart Rodgers, Warrenbrae, Coonabarabran.
Selling agent Larry Tolmie said there was good confidence in the buyers who attended from Dubbo, Brewarrina, Trangie, Coolah, Dunedoo and strong local support.
Mr Rodgers, also paid $1660 for 18 Angus steer weaners, eight to 10 months, offered by Ulindah Pastoral, Binnaway, who also sold 16 Poll Hereford weaner steers at $1580 to Borambil Pastoral Company, Cassilis.
Ulindah gained $1530 for eight weaner heifers bought by Peter Bennetts, Happy Valley, Dunedoo, while Ulindah's 12 six- to eight-month weaner heifers made $1440 to Kelly family, Claremont, Coonabarabran.
John and Rhondda Wark, Yaminbah, Coonabarabran, sold 20 Angus first-calving heifers with young calves at foot for $2700 a unit to John and Maureen Irons, Hampton Park, Binnaway.
