After a hiatus last year, the Boarding Schools Expo is gearing up for its 16th Expo in 2021.
The Expo helps families navigate the vast array of educational opportunities available in NSW and interstate. It allows the process of making the tough decisions on education to be a whole lot easier.
This year's events will be held in Dubbo, Griffith, Wagga Wagga and Narrabri between May and July.
The 52 boarding schools taking part from Victoria, NSW and the ACT, and Queensland continue to recognise the importance of the Expos as a one-stop shop for boarding families.
Families also have a host of resources online to help them choose the right boarding school to suit their needs, including a list of available scholarships and bursaries.
"The Boarding Schools Expo is more than just an event," said BSE founder and convenor Meg Bennett, who started the Expo 17 years ago.
"We will continue to provide a link between school boarding communities and prospective families through our website, eNewsletter and our social media channels, as well as the Expo.
"The Boarding Schools Expo takes the time and stress out of finding the right school to meet your family's needs.
"By bringing schools to major centres where they are all under one roof, the Expo gives your family the chance to discuss your educational needs directly with representatives of the school.
"Schools taking part in the Boarding Schools Expo showcase the exceptional opportunities they have to offer, including full-time and weekly boarding, high academic standards, access to modern technology, a caring and supporting academic and boarding environment and a wide range of co-curricular activities.
"Choosing the school that best suits your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. It is important that you choose a school that shares your family's values and beliefs.
"You want your children to be living, learning and growing up in a nurturing environment within a dynamic community.
"You need to ask the right questions to know if a school is prepared to work with your child to build on their strengths, overcome their weaknesses and fulfil realistic ambitions.
"After you have spoken to the individual schools at the Expo, you may find you have considered schools that were not an option for you beforehand and that you can create a shortlist of schools to visit.
"The schools exhibiting at the Boarding Schools Expo are all exceptional schools. Their past and present students are their best advertisement and you may even have the opportunity to meet some of them at the Expo."
Admission to the Expo is free and all are welcome, especially your children.
