Minister for Regional Youth Bronnie Taylor said the program would be a leg-up for young farmers seeking work in the industry.
"As well as teaching them transferable skills, the program also gives young people the opportunity to gain industry experience locally, learn the appropriate skills and be ready for the job through on-farm placements," she said.
A group of 16 young people from the Hay region will take part in the 15-day program, learning skills such as wool harvesting and woolshed management, sheep handling, fence construction, quad bike operation and first aid.
