Corey Dean Ireland's court case adjourned until May

Corey Dean Ireland, of Kyeamba, has been accused of multiple counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception.

The matter was mentioned in Wagga Local Court last Wednesday, but Mr Ireland was not required to appear.

Madeleine Mulvaney, a solicitor for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, asked Magistrate Christopher Halburd for another adjournment.

"The charge certificate is not yet ready," she said. "I have instructions that the matter is quite large and complex. There are eight volumes of material."

Mr Ireland has not yet entered any pleas.

Police allege Mr Ireland on-sold cattle that did not exist, were deceased prior to purchase or had been on-sold without their knowledge.

Each of the alleged offences ranged in value from $45,000 to $605,000.

Investigators searched a rural property at Kyeamba in December, 2019 seizing computers and documentation.

More than 400 Angus cows and calves were also inspected.

Mr Ireland remains on bail and the case is due to return to court in on May 12.
