The Achmea 54th Murray Grey National Show and Sale was held on AuctionsPlus when 47 lots were offered during the multi-vendor sale which included vendors across the country.
Females were in most demand with 23 sold from 34 offered for a top price of $9500: while four bulls sold from nine offered to a top of $8000.
Sold by G.R. and J. Buller, Karridale, WA, the top priced female Monterey Mannequin K121 was purchased for $9500 with a heifer calf sired by Ayr Park Legend.
The seven year old daughter of Monterey Fortress F14 was rejoined to Ayr Park Legend from 22/6/20 to 14/9/20 then Monterey Jagger J217 from 14/9/20 to 10/10/20.
Two of her heifers have been retained in the Monterey stud.
Top priced bull at $8000 was Monterey Quarterback Q20 (PB) (AI) when sold by sold by G.R. and J. Buller, Karridale, WA.
The 26 month-old son of Majestic Boy has a brilliant phenotype, outstanding performance and super structural correctness.
Described in the catalogue has having excellent feet, depth of heel, broad muzzle, dark pigment and sirey head, he would make a top class sire in any herd.
He is a heifer's first calf and his Estimated Breeding Values are top 1-5pc for RBY, top 1-5pc Scrotal, top 15pc 200 day growth, top 1-10pc for $Indexes.
He scanned 126cm2 EMA in mid-December and weighed 880kg with 43cm testicles.
