Outdoor Dubbo may be wet and cold in the coming week with more rain and a drop in temperatures forecast.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) recorded 28.2 millimetres (mm) of rain at Dubbo in the 48 hours to 9am Friday.
The same day it was forecasting up to 34 mm of rain across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
The biggest fall is expected on Wednesday with the BoM predicting an 80 per cent chance of up to 20mm of rain.
Average rainfall at Dubbo during the month of June is 48.3mm.
Rainfall at Dubbo in June has already exceeded the combined tally for April and May of 22.8mm.
Meanwhile, Orange is bracing for snow.
Mount Canobolas should receive its first winter snowfall next week with the BoM predicting a blanket on the region's higher reaches on Wednesday afternoon.
A top of just six degrees is predicted for Orange by the middle of next week with snow expected too.
The BoM's MetEye says snow will begin falling about 1pm on Wednesday afternoon.
There's also a 95 per cent chance of up to 20mm of rain falling in the central business district.
