At his first show, a four-tooth strong wool ram bred by Warick and Barbara Kopp, Towalba Merino and Poll Merino stud, Peak Hill, was judged supreme exhibit at the 2021 Warren Show.
Ben Simmons, Langdene Merinos, Dunedoo, and Angus Dawson, Roseville Park Merinos, Dubbo were the judges, and chief steward Matthew Bell, Eenaweena, Warren, said the quality of Merino and Poll Merino sheep on display was fantastic.
"The line-ups in the Merino classes at the Warren Show would have been the envy of many larger shows with both stud and flock breeders turning out in force to support the event," Mr Bell said.
The supreme exhibit, a four-tooth bred at Towalba was an AI son of a Wanganella sire, and earlier awarded champion strong wool ram and grand champion ram.
The reserve grand champion ram, also shown by Warick and Barbara Kopp, Towalba, Peak Hill, was an ET out of the high-performing sire Towalba 7.23 and had been awarded champion medium wool ram.
Other studs which exhibited included Egelabra, Warren, Haddon Rig, Warren, Weealla and Raby, Gilgandra, Tambua, Cobar, Glenwarra, Nyngan and Mullengudgery, Nyngan.
The Moxham family from Mullungudgery showed the grand champion ewe while the reserve grand champion and junior champion ewe was exhibited by Raby.
Junior champion ram was shown by Glenwarra, while the champion flock ewe came from Wombion Station, Girilambone.
