THE value of store cattle on the Central Tablelands continues to rise with the market another $150 a head dearer during the monthly store sale at Central Tablelands Livestock Exchange, Carcoar, last Friday.
That lift was on the back of a $100/head dearer trend during the June store sale.
The number of buyers at the rail was also reduced, due to COVID-19 restrictions at the saleyards, however this didn't appear to stem the fierce restocker competition.
Graeme Richard, who was at the sale collecting market data for Meat and Livestock Australia, reported the nine- to 10-month-old weaners made up the bulk of the yarding.
