Ashley Olsson along with his four sons, who had a simple idea for a clip-in fence post, have been building the innovative Clipex brand since its inception in 2007.

This year the company is making new strides with not one but two new products revolutionising the sheep industry.

The new products being introduced to the market are the 2021 Clipex Lamb Box and the Clipex Auto Drafter.

Both products were designed with the core pillars of safety and productivity in mind.

"The 2021 Clipex Lamb Box makes recording lamb data incredibly easy and efficient, using the latest engineering and electronic technology to reduce the stress and simplify lamb handling," a Clipex spokesman said.

Constructed of high quality stainless steel, the Clipex Lamb Box is engineered to perform and built to last.

By using the Lamb Box, producers can now collect data early, tracking the performance of lambs from birth and therefore future proofing their investments.

Clipex general manager for R&D, Colm McCormack said that animal safety a significant driving factor.

"The Lamb Box increases safety for lambs while also making traceability easier for farmers," he said.

"Animal safety and welfare is one of our primary drivers in all our designs.

"We're proud to have produced a product that can achieve this goal whilst also increasing the efficiency of farming operations."

This drive also led to the development of the Clipex Auto Drafter.

The Clipex Auto Drafter reduces the time needed for operators and animals to be in the yards, reducing stress on the animals and fatigue on the operator.

Performing up to six operations in one machine, the Clipex Auto Drafter enables weighting, auto drafting, drenching, needling, mouthing and dagging of sheep to be performed with relative ease.

"The Auto Drafter will make automated sheep handling more affordable," Mr McCormack said.

"We designed it to take the key features from our premium models, increasing accessibility to the productivity and safety benefits to a wider range of farmers in the industry."
