Versatile is the best way to describe an Ajust-a-bar.
Developed over the last six years it has morphed into a simple yet highly versatile tillage tool.
The Ajust-a-bar is able to offer light primary tillage, secondary tillage and tremendous stubble and crop residue handling abilities.
Due to depth control, to angle of aggression, to adjustment of gang pressure, means it leaves residue on the surface or incorporates a realistic percentage.
"The Ajust-a-bar shines in canola stubble, enabling modern sowing rigs carrying a sowing tyne and a press wheel to cope with sowing straight in," a company spokesman said.
"Chemical incorporation is another ability of this machine.
"Due to positive depth control and aggression angles it is able to thoroughly mix chemicals such as Treflan evenly in soil to the desired depth.
"Incorporation of lime and gypsum is also quick and cost effective.
"Green manuring is another accepted practice being adopted.
"In certain situations, due to the Ajust-a-bar's light draft and width, the cost can rival a spray application, depending on the target species."
The new Series 3 Ajust-a-bars are stronger and easier to set up on farm.
Series 1 and 2 machines can be upgraded to any level, due to the fact that all Ajust-a-bars have been made in a module format.
New assemblies can be bolted on.
Ajust-a-bars are now only offered in two sizes, 50ft and 60ft respectively.
"Both machines expand in width as their level of aggression is decreased," the spokesman said.
"Many customers have been pleasantly surprised at the ability to pull these machines so easily.
"The 60ft machine has proved to be the most popular the last 12 months.
"Tractors of 300-plus horse power are comfortable handling them.
"If you are considering the purchase of an Ajust-a-bar, order early, as the current run is nearly all allocated.
"Lead times are critical for timely delivery and correctly timed and executed cultivation can prove pivotal to the success of your crop."
