BOOROWA based Kenny's Creek Angus celebrated a full clearance of 63 bulls and 49 commercial cow and calf units during their on-property spring sale today at Hillgrove.
Overall the 63 bulls sold on account of the Burton Taylor family topped at $23,000 and averaged $12,031 - a personal best for the stud.
"It was a great sale, our best average to date," Kenny's Creek stud principal Sam Burton Taylor said.
"We sold bulls to a lot of repeat buyers, and we appreciate them for their continual support.
"There was a lot of online presence with bids placed from buyers from Queensland to Tasmania, and 16 bulls sold via AuctionsPlus."

The $23,000 top-priced bull, Kenny's Creek Mojo Q11, was purchased through AuctionsPlus as part of a draft of six bulls bought by an undisclosed buyer from the Central West that has been a long-term client of the stud.
Sired by Landfall Mojo M45 and out of Kenny's Creek Bara N34, a daughter of Esslemont Loto L3, he weighed 870 kilograms and offered the buyers a credible data set with all selection indexes ranked in the top one per cent of the breed, and eight individual traits ranked in the top 10pc.
Mr Burton Taylor said the sale-topper was a standout bull that was the heaviest bull of the drop at 400 days.
"He has terrific numbers, he weighs well and he is a good easy doing bull that ticks the box for birth, growth and carcase," he said.
Mojo Q11 went from +3.9 for birthweight out to +137 for 600-day weight, and had an eye muscle area figure of +12.3 and carcase weight figure of +80.
Another long-time client of Kenny's Creek, Casella Management at Yenda, purchased the $21,000 second top-priced bull, Kenny's Creek N200 Q62, a 852kg son of Kenny's Creek Lotto N5.
"He has good birth to growth," Mr Burton Taylor said.
Casella Management bought two bulls at a $16,500 average.
Volume buyers were in action throughout the draft, with Hillston based Tattersalls Development Pty Ltd, Wakefield putting together a line of six bulls for a $7500 average.
JW Blacker Farms, Lake Cargelligo taking home five for a $13,4000 average, including the third top-priced bull, Kenny's Creek Intensity Q504, for $20,000.
FEMALE FIRST
For the first time on-farm, the Kenny's Creek stud offered 49 cow/calf units which sold to average $4800 a head and top at $5250/hd for a pen of nine cows, three years of age, with heifers calves at foot sired by the $140,000 Dunoon Prime Minister P758.
"The females are the tops of our commercial herd, and sold with the first calves on the ground by the Dunoon Prime Minister bull," Mr Burton Taylor said.
"They are terrific start point genetics."
Volume buyers in the females were PH and HJ Williams of Rubyvale, Alectown who bought 20 cow/calf units for a $4750/hd average. They also purchased a bull, Kenny's Creek Intensity L123 Q413, for $13,000.
The sale was conducted by Kevin Miller Whitty Lennon and Co with Luke Whitty as the auctioneer.
