In their fiftieth year of breeding superior Angus genetics, Mark Lucas and his family, Reiland Angus, Killimicat, offered 69 quality bulls for the annual spring bull sale.
Mr Lucas noted that the ubiquitous fast food outlet, McDonalds, has also been in Australia for the past half century.
"Both beef business's have two things in common - a respect for quality and customer's requirements," he acknowledged in the catalogue preamble.
"It's a great time to be in the Beef business!
"With the years of hardship behind us, record prices for all classes of cattle are being recorded.
"The current Eastern States young cattle indicator (EYCI) is at a height that no one would have imagined."
The sale results indicated a complete clearance of the 69 bulls on offer for an average price of $17,623, with a top price of $38,000.
The top priced bull Reiland Richie R282 by Ayrvale Lalor L56, was bought by the partnership of Proudford Agriculture, Narrawa, and Riverview Wallah, Rugby, through Elders, Goulburn.
The rising 17 months old son of a first calf heifer, he had the impressive growth rate at +142 (600 day weight) and +106 (400 day) putting him in the top five pc for the breed.
Reiland retained 50pc semen and marketing rights in this standout sire.
The sale was settled by Nutrien stud stock, Wagga Wagga, and supported by AuctionsPlus with 44 registered bidders and with guest auctioneer Michael Glasser, Ray White GTSM, Albury, taking the bids.
