A new sale average record was set for at the Haddon Rig Merinos annual two-tooth ram sale on Thursday, where 326 rams sold to average $3047.
The top ram at $20,000 was Lot 5 - HR 200531 which was purchased by James and Jo Morris, Bonanza Merino stud, Walgett.
The top Poll Merino ram was Lot 10 - HRP 200176 which was purchased via AuctionsPlus by the Carrigan family, Tyrone Merino stud, Gurley.
A total of 326 rams sold on Thursday, from 329 offered for a 99 per cent clearance.
The's sale average of $3047 is a $251 improvement on the 2020 result.
In the breakdown, 129 Merino rams sold for an average of $2759 while 196 Poll Merino rams sold for an average of $3237.
Guest auctioneer was Paul Dooley, Tamworth.
