Santa Gertrudis bulls sold to a top price of $50,000 with all 38 bulls offered sold averaging $15,578 at the 13th annual Rockingham stud on-property sale at Tara, Condobolin, last Thursday.
The auction sold 32 Rockingham bulls to average $15,688 for Phillip and Judy Hague and son, Dean, and six Denngal bulls topping at $22,000 to average $15,500 for Dennis and Greg Moxey and families, Denngal stud, Jemalong near Forbes.
Sale-topper was the 24-month-old polled son of Rockingham Joker J100 out of Rockingham G9 weighed 882 kilograms with an average daily gain of 1.18 kilograms, 122 square centimetre eye muscle area and 42 centimetre scrotum.
It was Swan Hill Cattle Company, Blackall, Queensland who walked away successful purchases of Rockingham Quandong.
Several bulls were stud bound including second top price Rockingham Q166 sold for $32,000 to Bendalla Santa Gertrudis, Longreach, Queensland.
Two hundred and forty one females were also offered at the auction with a pen of eight 14-month-old Santa heifers attracting the top price of $3150/hd.
The sale was conducted by Nutrien Russell with Ken Miall, Nutrian Wagga tallying the bids.
