Every producer knows how important it is to maximise efficiencies and productivity to increase profits.
This can mean finding the right technology, new or established, to suit an operation and stay ahead of the game.
This is where Agtech Finder comes in.
Seeing a need to help farmers find the solution to suit their enterprise, Agtech Finder helps growers and producers make informed decisions.
"Agtech Finder was born from conversations we had with farmers who just didn't know where to start when it came to ag tech," chief communication and marketing officer at Agtech Finder, Megan Tudehope said.
"We worked with some of our partners in Food Agility Cooperative Research Centre like MLA, Agrifutures Australia, IAG, National Farmers Federation and KPMG, and we thought how can we create something which is going to empower farmers to make good decisions about the right ag tech for them and to make it much easier to find what they need?
"We also wanted to help farmers learn more about agtech at the same time.
"So we worked with that group of partners to create Agtech Finder, a free and independent website with more than 240 businesses featuring 350 individual agtech products you can buy today in Australia.
"The idea behind the site was to make it as easy as possible for farmers to search, sort and compare agtech solutions."
There are different ways to use Agtech Finder with the system designed to work from a farmer's perspective.
One way to use it is to search by sector and then the problem trying to be solved, or farmers can search for specific items.
Alternatively, if farmers know the who they want to work with, they can use the company directory.
Agtech Finder also provides information on agtech solutions, allowing companies to provide details such as pricing models, installation requirements, maintenance, what energy source is required and what communication platforms is it compatible with.
