Jumping from strength to strength, the 2021 Wilangi Invitation Sale has achieved a new record top and overall sale average in Charters Towers, Qld, on Friday.
It was Cambil Balboa who packed the meanest punch when he entered the sale ring at lot 140, quickly drawing the attention of Rathlyn Brahmans, Emerald, Qld, who purchased the record-breaking sale topper for $140,000.
Sired by Elrose Fair Play 9074 (ET) (PS) and out of Jaffra Miss CP 4629 (PS), the 36-month-old bull tipped the scales at 990 kilograms, measured 44 centimetres in scrotal circumference, and tested 90 per cent for semen motility.
He scanned 146 square centimetres for eye muscle area, 12mm and 8mm, respectively, for P8 and rib fats, and 4.8pc for intramuscular fat.

Of the premier select sires offered on the day, all 72 bulls were sold, for a gross of $1.27 million, an average of $17,645, and a top of $140,000.
The 82 registered bulls offered produced a gross of $714,500, an overall average of $8715, and a top of $18,000.
Wrapping up the day were the 76 herd bull which sold for a gross of $548,500, an average of $7215, and a top of $16,000.
Overall, the sale achieved a 100pc clearance, with 230 bulls sold for a gross of $2.533m, a record-breaking sale average of $11,015, and top of $140,000.
