TWO Australian females have risen to the top of an elite line up of international exhibits to take out the Miss World title of their respective breeds.
Announced on Tuesday via Facebook, Shorthorn Miss World was presented to Royalla Merendee P161 exhibited by the Job family, Royalla Shorthorns, Yeoval, NSW, while the Santa Gertrudis Miss World sash was won by Santahat Queen B Q79 exhibited by the Hatton family of Santahat stud, Monto, Qld.
Both females won grand champion female of their respective breeds at Beef Australia 2021 at Rockhampton in May.
The Miss World competition culminates a week-long judging extravaganza whereby each country was represented by a qualifying exhibit.
The competition, along with the male Champion of the World event, was founded in 2012 to bring together elite bulls and females from across the globe in the aim of showcasing different breeders and their programs.
While Australia had success in the preliminary bull section, none were able to secure a world title.

SHORTHORN MARKS SECOND WIN FOR ROYALLA
Shorthorn Miss World winner, Royalla Merendee P161, received eight points to take the top honour and was placed first by two of the four judges including Andrew Masterton of South Africa and Non Thorne of Wales.
The remaining two Shorthorn judges were Heitor Lutti Pinheiro Machado of Brazil and Tyson Hertz of Canada.
Merendee P161 made her debut at Beef Australia 2021 taking out the grand champion Shorthorn sash and qualifying to represent Australia in the Shorthorn breed Miss World competition.
Bred and exhibited by Neilson, Sue and Nicholas Job of Royalla Shorthorns, Yeoval, NSW, she was sold in the Job Family's 50th Anniversary Jubilee Sale in October where she was purchased for $29,000 by the Durham family of The Den, Mole Creek, Tas.
The 3.5-year-old female was sired by Royalla Rockstar K274 and out of Royalla Merendee 9405M, and was presented in the competition with a cracking heifer calf-at-foot by Sprys Golden Rod P39.
She was also part of the Royalla stud's third placing interbreed breeder's group at Beef Australia 2021, in which she was teamed up with the interbreed champion bull, Royalla Ventura P158.
Nicholas Job of Royalla Shorthorns said winning the coveted award gives the Royalla stud and The Den stud worldwide exposure.
"We have embryo calves on the way out of her, which we are looking forward to," Mr Job said.
This win marks the second time the Job family has won the prestigious title, also claiming it in 2016 with Royalla Isobel H135 who won supreme exhibit at Sydney Show.
SANTA GERTRUDIS MAKES WORLD DEBUT
Santa Gertrudis Miss World winner, Santahat Queen B Q79 (P), had only calved a week prior to being exhibited at Beef Australia 2021 which qualified her for the online world competition.
Breeder Brett Hatton of Santahat stud, Rawbelle, Monto, Qld, said it was nice to get recognition on a world level for a female that admire highly.
"She is a lovely cow and we are glad she won at Beef, and now that she has won Miss World - it is a nice bonus," he said.
"We tried putting her in last year as a heifer, but was a week late so we were grateful she won Beef and got into it this year."
Santahat Queen B Q79 (P) is a three-year-old daughter of Yarrawonga Friendly L690 (P/S) and out of Santahat K48, which presented with a week-old bull calf-at-foot affectionately named "Sunny" by the Hatton family children.
"We are hoping to flush her in the near future and join her to Warenda Killamanjaro (P) we bought for $50,000 from the Santa Central Sale in 2015 and to Waco Red Bull R32 we purchased this year for $130,000," Mr Hatton said.
