The Christie crew sure know how to enjoy an outback downpour, especially if it's the best rain they've seen out near the remote NSW border in 10 years.
While most of NSW has been submerged in rain for months as La Nina continues to beset the east of the state, in Far West NSW it has been a long wait at Corona Station for decent rain. Corona Station is about 80 km north of Broken Hill.

Christy Christie says her family were over the moon to get more than 50mm - the best rain in 10 years.
Enjoying the fun were the Christie's children Jack 9, Frank 7, Bill 6 and Finn 3.
"We bought Corona Station in September 2011. In Feb 2012 we received 64mm, making this the biggest rain since then with a total of 50mm yesterday," Mrs Christie said.
"The patience we have used to get to this day has been stretched, Broken and rebuilt especially over the last six years, in which we have destocked twice, got very low lamb percentages if any, watched our garden die, lived between properties 860km apart since the start of 2018 trying to keep our operation running all while raising four little boys.
"Mostly working understaffed and exhausted wondering if this year will be the year of rain.
"This 50mm means relief, excitement and the hope of keeping this property for our kids."
Corona is about 21,000ha and can carry up to 13,000 sheep in the best seasons.
At Packsaddle too they were celebrating the falls as Packsaddle creek turned into a river.

At Packsaddle more than 80mm fell in good steady rain that turned Packsaddle creek into a tourist attraction.
Packsaddle Roadhouse owner Mia Degoumois said the rain was great. About 40 tourists were stranded in town and they got busy helping mop out the Roadhouse 'woolshed'.
