THE first full day of Hort Connections 2022 on Tuesday, June 7 was unofficially dubbed "trade day".
This gave attendees plenty of time to browse the various services and products to improve operations within the horticulture sector.
The trade display provided a vast variety of what's out there, from autonomous robotic packers and palletisers, to the latest in moisture monitoring, labelling and planting machinery.

More than one display included virtual reality headsets to take guests into a digital realm for a first-hand look at developments, while others in the technology field had live displays of monitoring equipment in action.
There were vast amounts of high quality fresh produce, and even flowers, to highlight precisely what Australian horticulture does so well.
Many exhibitors reported being busy for the two days with a constant stream of foot traffic seen.
The entire Hort Connections event was declared a major success by organisers with some 3000 people attending across the three days.
