BULLS sold to a top of $10,000 and averaged $5125 at the annual on-property Eastern Plains Angus sale at "Eastern Plains", Guyra, on Tuesday.
Fifty seven of the 58 bulls offered sold for a clearance of 98 per cent.
First-time Eastern Plains client David Carolan, "Lyndhurst", Armidale, purchased the top three bulls.
Eastern Plains Jewel J39, by Ardrossan Equator D19 from Eastern Plains EDA F22, was the $10,000 bull.
He weighed 842 kilograms, had a scrotal circumference 42.5 centimetres and had estimated breeding values of +47 for 200-day weight, +86 for 400-day weight, +113 for 600-day weight and +108 for mature cow weight.
The volume buyer was Nathan McConnell, Elders Tamworth, who purchased 13 bulls on behalf of clients.
Richard Braham, Jeogla Station, Armidale, purchased six bulls.
The sale was conducted by Elders stud stock with Paul Dooley, Tamworth, auctioneering.
