BULLS sold to a top of $22,000 and averaged $6812 at the 22nd annual Mountain Valley Poll Herefords sale on Thursday.
All 40 bulls sold, going to clients in NSW, Queensland and Victoria.
The top bull, Mountain Valley Karabar K203, sold to Jeff and Robyn Holcombe, Rayleigh Poll Herefords, "Rayleigh", Burren Junction.
The 17-month-old bull, by Mountain Valley Gambler G14 from Mountain Valley Shamrock C12, weighed 764 kilograms, had a scrotal circumference of 42 centimetres, measured 12 millimetres and 9mm of rib and rump fat and had an eye muscle area (EMA) of 109 square centimetres.
The sale's volume buyers were Judy Grills, "Glenorchy", Bukkulla, and John Thompson, "Coolamore", Niangala, who purchased four bulls each.
The sale was conducted by CL Squires and Co, Inverell, with Paul Dooley, Tamworth, auctioneering.
