Cow and calf units were just starting to sell up to $1050 a unit at the Dubbo store cattle sale today after steers sold to a firm market.
WEANER steers from Bourke were a standout draft of 220 Angus and Angus cross steers, nine to 12 months, bred and offered by Mick and Michaela Fisher, "Kilberoo", Bourke, and sold mostly to the Coonamble Feedlot from $630 to $410 at the Dubbo store cattle sale this morning.
Calves were also making upwards of $150 a head in a mixed quality yarding.
Cows and calves had just begun to sell with the tops at $1050.
Angus and Angus cross mixed age cows with Angus calves at foot from one week to two-and-a-half months, bred at Guyra but taken off agistment from Mendooran district sold at $650 a unit.
