A LIMOUSIN bull exhibited by Starr Limousins, Thuddungra, has won supreme cattle exhibit of the Canberra Show.
Birubi Knightime K1, was purchased by the Starr family from Birubi Limousins, Wagga Wagga, as a calf at foot last year.
Weighing 561 kilograms, the Wulfs Exellsior son was awarded the grand champion Limousin bull on Saturday, before coming out on top of the interbreed bull judging and supreme exhibit competition.
During the interbreed bull class, judge Andrew Green, Red Hill Herefords, Victoria, said the Limousin had a great outlook, smooth body and was "very thick if you get the opportunity to look at him behind".
In the interbreed female judging an Angus cow from J and C Angus, Wildes Meadow, won supreme female.
The 2.5 year old cow J&C Cheyenne, that had a three month old heifer calf at foot.
Judge Michael Milner, Rosedale Charolais, Blayney, said she was placed on top of an impressive line up of females.
