THE New England region celebrated its fine food at the Seasons of New England market day and fair at Uralla on March 28.
More than 70 stall holders from businesses across the region showcased their produce, from regionally-produced beer, whiskey and liqueurs to berries, fruit, jams, relishes, chutney, lamb, gourmet sausages, pastries, cheeses and eggs.
Regional wine was a feature of the event, with cool climates wineries Merilba Estate, Toppers Mountain Wines, Blickling Estate and Wright Robertson displaying their wines.
Seasons of New England organiser Tara Toomey said the family event was a great success, with more than 4000 foodies, wine lovers and crafty folk streaming through the gate.
"Producers reported good sales and the tasting plates that stallholders combined to do sold out in no time," Mrs Toomey said.
"The gelato cart had one of its busiest market days ever, and our butcher sold 1800 sausages on the day."
Mrs Toomey said the event provided a buzz around town, with local businesses reporting strong sales.
"Our whole town really benefited from the event. Some of our cafes had the biggest days they've ever had."
