THE inaugural Shorthorn Central sale topped at $6000 today, held at the Central West Livestock Exchange, Forbes.
Six Central West Shorthorn studs offered a total of 34 bulls with 19 of those selling to a gallery of 27 registered bidders.
Bulls averaged $3868.
An 840-kilogram son of Futurity Fully Loaded F109 sold for the top price of $6000, going to a Woodstock buyer.
The bull was offered on behalf of Lonnie Stone, Southern Cross Shorthorn stud, Lyndhurst.
The sale was conducted by Landmark with John Settree handling auctioneering duties.
