ANGUS bulls that weren't pumped up, trumped up or overdone sold to an impressive $10,550 average at the Bongongo stud sale near Coolac in southern NSW.
For Vendors Bill, Shauna and Tom Graham, the aim of the game is to produce Angus bulls that are "wearing their working clothes" when they leave their property "Riverview".
Such breeding objectives resulted in red hot demand for Bongongo bulls at the auction on Wednesday when all 69 bulls offered were sold under the hammer with a top price of $17,500 paid twice.
Top price buyers were commerical operators Renato Gaspari, Coots Creek Angus, Yass, and Paul Ferry, Abingdon Station, Gundagai.
