ONE of the original players of the Crookwell Rugby Union side that formed in 1975, Michael "Stumpy" Kensit, Crookwell, formerly of Narrawa, has two sons playing in the current side.
"Scott, my youngest son, started playing first and now Dean is there as well," Mr Kensit said.
"It's good to be able to go and see them play.
"Don't get me wrong the other players are just as important, but it's good to be able to watch the two of them."
Mr Kensit said playing for the Crookwell Dogs quickly became a way of life for him and with his two boys playing he was still involved with the club.
"Crookwell has always been a social club," he said.
"They still put their heads down and play football, but everybody communicates well and that's why everybody enjoys it."
Mr Kensit played 323 games from 1975 to 1996.
With his first year spent as fullback before playing the rest of his time as halfback.
