A STRONG crowd of supporters bid a fitting farewell to BST Tullatoola at Molong on Saturday, when the stud dispersed its Red Angus and Simmental herds.

More than 110 registered bidders competed for about five hours for the 331 lots on offer, with 312 sold to a top price of $15,500.
Topping the sale was five and a half year old Simmental female, Tullatoola Wendy E5 with calf at foot, purchased by Bowyer and Livermore, Bathurst, for an undisclosed client.
The cow, out of Tullatoola Wendy A2 and by Remington Red Label HR, was supreme Simmental exhibit at the Sydney Royal Show in 2011
In the breakdown, a total clearance of 22 mixed age Red Angus autumn calving cows topped at $3750 and averaged $1917, while all 86 mixed age Red Angus cow and calf packages topped at $10,000 twice and averaged $2935.
The first $10,000 Red Angus female was a two and a half year old lot, BST Tullatoola Annabelle H95, with a three month old heifer calf at foot by Red RMJ Redman 1T.
Annabelle H95, out of BST Tullatoola Annabelle A125, a cow that sold for $5000 at the sale, was purchased by Tom Wilding-Davies, WD Cattle, Holbrook.
The second $10,000 Red Angus female was another two and half year old, BST Tullatoola Blockana H190, also with a heifer calf at foot by the Redman sire, sold to Annandale Red Angus, Cargo.
There was also a total clearance of the 45, 18-month-old unjoined Red Angus heifers offered, which sold to $3000 and averaged $1489, while all 15 mixed sex 2014-drop Red Angus weaners topped at $2400 and averaged $1187.
Two Red Angus herd sires were offered and sold to a top of $4000, averaging $3750.
Of the 41 Red Angus embryo lots offered, 38 sold to $550 per egg, and averaged $180 per egg, while 17 of 20 Red Angus semen packages topped at $220 per straw, and averaged $40 per straw.
Red Angus yearling bulls topped at $9750, sold to a bidder via AuctionsPlus, and averaged $3262, with 17 cleared of the 26 offered.
A total clearance of 35 mixed age Simmental cows, pregnancy tested in calf and some with calves at foot, topped the sale at $15,500, and averaged $3100.
Two Simmental herd sires were offered and sold to $3000, and averaged $2750, while 16 of 17 mixed sex 2014-drop Simmental weaners made to $3000 and averaged $1594.
All three Simmental yearling bulls sold to $$1750, averaged $1583; 11 of 12 Simmental embryo lots topped at $525 per egg and averaged $314 per egg, and three of five Simmental semen lots sold to $120 per straw, and averaged $47 per straw.
