WARATAH Speckle Park genetics are "spot on" according to stud principal Laiton Turnham who, alongside his father Eric, established the stud with imported embryos from Canada back in 2008.
The Guyra-based operation is gearing up to host the biggest Speckle Park sale in Australia with 103 lots going under the hammer on Monday, July 14.
With more than 200 embryo calves born last year, the family owned and run operation continues to improve genetics within the heard through artificial insemination and embryo transfer.
In 2013, Waratah Speckle Park used 18 different sires which incorporated 12 different bloodlines.
Sixteen of these sires are set to be represented in this year's sale.
"We are offering genetics never before seen in Australia," Mr Turnham said.
This will include a limited offering from reference sires Heartridge Aries, PAR Papa Razzi, and Codiak Amigo GNK 65Y, in this year's catalogue.
The Canadian-bred Codiak Amigo was imported into Australia in 2013 and Waratah are expecting calves early next year.
Chosen for his outcross genetics and low birth weight, Codiak Amigo brought with him a unique opportunity.
"Being sired by Legacy Unrivaled, Amigo can be put over any cow in Australia," said Mr Turnham, who has embryo lots available by this bull.
Also in the Embryo catalogue are packages from the 2012 Australian Beef Expo grand champion Speckle Park female, Waratah Angel F12 and new sire PAR Papa Razzi.
The genetic impact of the Speckle Park breed is being highlighted with carcase competition wins across the country.
Waratah Speckle Park are aiming to expand and grow Speckle Park genetics in Australia and are already making plans to import semen from new sires in Canada to offer additional outcross pedigrees in Australia.
