THREE supreme awards (superfine, fine and medium/ strong wool) in the Merino sections were a winning trifecta for Wal and George Merriman and families, Merryville stud, Boorowa.
The rams won their March-shorn six-tooth classes to go forward to championship level before standing against all ram and ewe champions in each of the three Merino and Poll Merino divisions.
Merryville's superfine wool supreme ram was sired by Merryville EM Supreme, while the fine wool supreme was sired by Merryville Hamilton Giant.
In the March-shorn sections, John and Jenny Alcock and family, Greenland stud, Bungarby, won the ribbon forchampion medium/strong wool ewe.
The Demondrille stud of Patrick and Andrew Davis, Harden, showed the champion August-shorn fine wool ram.
The Lette family, Conrayn stud, Berridale, exhibited the champion March-shorn super-fine ewe.
Grand champion superfine wool ewe was the August-shorn champion of Merrignee stud, Boorowa operated by Charlie and Pip Merriman and family.
Royalla stud, Wallendbeen, gained reserve champion August-shorn fine wool ram and ewe broad ribbons while Adina stud of the Barron family, Cooma, exhibited the reserve champion March shorn medium/strong wool ram.
Judges were Cameron Cox, Bocoble stud, Mudgee, (superfine); Gavin Swords, Laraben Poll stud, Mudgee, (fine) and Ben Simmons, Langdene stud, Dunedoo (medium/strong).
