Hatz Diesel’s new H50 three cylinder water-cooled diesel series is a light and compact design suitable for a range of industrial applications.
The 1.5 litre 3H50TIC and its 3H50TI variant joins the recently-launched four cylinder, 2.0 litre 4H50 in the Australian market.
Hatz Diesel Australia says the H50 series would suit generators, water pump sets and hydraulic power packs, is the world’s smallest in its power range, and is up to 90 kilograms lighter than the nearest competitor.”
The simple design has few moving parts with each of the four cylinders on the 4H50 engine having only two valves.
The engines use Bosch common rail diesel technology and a high-pressure pump, injection controller and off-highway injectors.
A diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) satisfies Tier 4 standards without the need for a diesel particulate filter which ensures less maintenance and downtime.
The standard maintenance interval is 500 hours and all points are on one side to cut maintenance times.
