STAGED over the course of three days, June 7 to 9, CRT FarmFest in Queensland is celebrating its 37th anniversary of the premier primary industry field days.
Located in heart of the Darling Downs, 20 kilometers from Toowoomba, CRT’s FarmFest will play host to more than 2000 businesses and have more than 60,000 visitors pass through the gates, says Fairfax Rural Events group manager and CRT FarmFest organiser Kate Nugent.
Ms Nugent said FarmFest is a once-a-year opportunity for farmers and land holders alike to unite and peruse the latest products and services.
“It is acknowledged people on the land have had a tough time over the past year,” Ms Nugent said.
“An event like this allows them to take time out to meet with other members of the industry at the one place, at the one time, to choose from the biggest available selection of agri-products and services – so it becomes a primary meeting place for rural Australia.”
She said the size of the static display area was 15 hectares.
“There will be farm machinery demonstrations, four wheel drive demos and a bike demo area as well,” Ms Nugent said.
“Also don’t miss a visit to the lifestyle shopping arcade, which features over 80 lifestyle exhibitors.”
For the past decade, CRT continues to be the major event sponsor, reflecting its ongoing commitment to farmers, graziers and everyone who lives off the land, Ms Nugent said.
“This year it’s on track to be one of the best field days yet,” she said.
“Because of its size, diversity and national positioning, CRT FarmFest offers unmatched marketing opportunities.”
Held at Kingsthorpe Park, the three day event opens from 9am to 5pm, Tuesday and Wednesday and closes an hour earlier on the Thursday.
“CRT Farmfest has its own smartphone app you can download free from the app store or Google Play,” Ms Nugent said.
“We also have our own radio station for the first time this year at FarmFest, which is powered by CRT and commences transmission during the event.”
