FARMERS and agricultural employeess are encouraged to learn quad bike safety and operating techniques through the NSW Department of Primary Industries’ (DPI) Tocal College as part of the NSW Quad Bike Safety Improvement Program.
In partnership with SafeWork NSW, subsidised accredited training and instruction courses are being offered to eligible farmers and workers aimed to build their skills and capabilities to safely operate quad bikes on farms.
The one-day practical course will assist farmers and farm workers to safely and effectively operate quad bikes and to carry out routine checks and maintenance.
The course is mapped to the National Unit of Competency AHCMOM212 – Operate quad bikes and is tailored to the experience level of participants.
Quad bikes will be provided for all course participants.
Training is available at Tamworth on January 9 and Gunnedah on January 10.
