Murray Local Land Services (LLS) is currently working with other organisations to assist or run a number of livestock and pasture based extension focused 'trials'.
Murray LLS officer, Gen Guest said the trials are not 'new product testing', rather testing existing products in real life situations.
“The trails would involve looking at specific factors … specific to each trial ie feeding a supplement or mineral or looking at pasture species ... in a situation where you are already doing that activity,” she said.
Mrs Guest gave as an example -, splitting an existing paddock of sheep, and giving some a supplement and the rest no supplement..
“So over all your operation would remain on track as per normal, and every effort would be taken find properties where the trial has minimal impact on management targets,” she said.
Mrs Guest said this is seeking expressions of interest only, there is no obligation to participate at this early stage.
