GRAIN storage and handler Croker Grain has secured yet another site in the Riverina.
The business has taken over Howard Martin and Co’s bulk grain storage facility at Berrigan.
The business now has sites at Griffith, Cootamundra, Henty, Ladysmith and Marrar.
Established by Max Croker, Croker Grain has been in business for 44 years.
In 1978 Mr Croker bought his first grain storage facility at Wagga Wagga from Bunge Australia.
The business later purchased the Stratton Flour Mill at Cootamundra from Clifford Love and Co.
In the early ‘90s it purchased a grain store at Coolamon which was established by the Mutton Family. It then constructed its Marrar depot.
A year after establishing a site at Cootamundra in 1994 Mr Croker sold the business.
In the following years despite crippling drought the business went on to acquire the grain store at Ladysmith from GrainCorp and a site from Sunrice at Widgelli near Griffith.
