AN American-born chemical engineer has been chosen to lead Australia’s own global fertiliser business Incitec Pivot.
Jeanne Johns will take over from retiring chief executive James Fazzino in October.
Ms Johns has more than 25 years experience in international industrial and commodity businesses, including petrochemicals and oil and gas. During her career with BP, Ms Johns held numerous leadership roles in the US, Europe and China managing multinational businesses and international strategic business development.
While at BP she was promoted to head of safety and operational risk for BP Downstream, to which she was appointed in the wake of the Deepwater Horizon disaster – the largest marine oil spill in the history of the petroleum industry.
Incitec Pivot Fertilisers is Australia's largest supplier of fertilisers, dispatching around two million tonnes each year.
Mr Fazzino will continue in his roles the company until the release of IPL's financial statements for the year ending September 30, 2017.
