Uranquinti livestock transporter Chris Moore could not be happier with the $6.6 million upgrades to the Dubbo Regional Livestock Markets.
As part of Moore’s Livestock, Mr Moore has been travelling to Dubbo for the past seven years, and said the changes to the site have made his job easier.
“The new upgrades are awesome,” Mr Moore said.
“Not only do they make my job easier, they make it safer as well.
“I do not have to walk the cattle anywhere near as far as I was before the upgrades.
“The new slam shut gates make life easier and quicker as well.
“A lot of sensible thought went into these additions.
“There is more yarding so the cattle are not squashed, which means they are less stressed.
“They are far more settled because they do not have to walk as far.
“That makes it safer for workers as the cattle are less agitated.
“The two deck ramps make things so much faster as well.
“Now I can get in and out with no dramas at all,” he said.
